The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has released the roadmap for university re-registrations for the upcoming academic year 2025-2026.
This announcement comes shortly after the crucial PROGRES integrated system experienced a temporary outage, which the Ministry has attributed to maintenance.
Key dates for the academic year 2025-2026
The deadline for all pedagogical operations related to the 2024-2025 academic year has been set for Tuesday, July 15th. Following this, re-registrations for current students, conducted via the integrated PROGRES system, are slated to commence on Monday, June 23rd. This launch is contingent upon the completion rate of final deliberations for the current academic year’s results.
Digital payments Only: « Edahabia » Card becomes exclusive method
Notably, the payment of fees for pedagogical re-registration, university accommodation, and university transport for the 2025-2026 academic year will begin on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025. The Ministry has emphasized that the registration process is « intrinsically linked » to online electronic payment, mirroring the procedures from the previous year. Crucially, only the « Edahabia » payment card will be accepted, effectively ending the option of postal money order payments.
PROGRES system accounts to be deactivated
In a final note regarding student accounts, it has been announced that all university student accounts on the integrated PROGRES system will be deactivated on Monday, July 28th.
Ministry addresses PROGRES system outage
The announcement regarding the re-registration calendar follows a recent disruption to the PROGRES platform, which is vital for re-registrations and student account management. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research addressed the system’s downtime in a statement published on its official Facebook page.
The Ministry clarified that the service interruption was due to maintenance operations being carried out by the Directorate of Networks and Digital Development. The statement assured students that the system « will be operational again in the coming hours, as soon as maintenance work is completed. »
With the PROGRES system now fully functional, students can access their personal accounts to actively prepare for their university re-registration for the 2025-2026 academic year, adhering to the announced dates and electronic payment methods.
